Our small town is only around an hour and twenty minute trip to historic Charleston, an hour to lovely Savannah in Georgia and about forty five minutes to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. This is wonderful if you like the buzz of a city but really like the feel of a small town to call home. Beaufort is surrounded by beautiful marsh land and tidal creeks where you really feel a sense of your surroundings become a part of your life. Watching the tide come in and looking off into the expansive marsh lands graced with wildlife and dolphins and spectacular sunsets. Our downtown waterfront park is yet another lovely place to relax, enjoy fantastic foods and take in your surroundings. Take a trip to Hunting Island State Park and spend the day at our beach, spend the night camping at the park. We are a boater and fisherman's paradise with the Atlantic Ocean, Inter-coastal Waterway, and Port Royal Sound all in our back yard. There is so much to do and so many ways to relax and enjoy life in the Low Country.
