This weekend is the Beaufort Shrimp Festival located at the waterfront park in Historic Beaufort. There will be live music, crafts and lots of food. Tonight the band is Deas-Guys and they are one of the best bands in the south. On Saturday we will have a shrimp race and someone could win $100,000. Come down and enjoy yourself.
There is only one problem with the lowcountry that I wish I could change. That is I wish I had gotten here sooner than 1989. I have been selling the lowcountry ever since I retired from the Marine Corps in 1994. If you can't live here atleast come enjoy it for a weekend. You might change your mind.

When things are bad laugh more

A week ago my wife and I took in a sweet little dog from the Human Society. She is half Chow and half German Shepard we think maybe a little Pointer. My wife was playing with the puppy and was chasing her around a wall in our house. After about four laps around the wall my wife was wondering why she could not catch this little puppy. My puppy was sitting next to one of our living room chairs just watching my wife go around in circle. She fell on the floor laughing.

I did not write this to make… Continue
