Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike and Morgan River golf courses have been certified through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program.

Dataw Island Club is the 23rd club in South Carolina and the 663rd club in the world to receive the honor.

To become certified, Dataw's Cotton Dike and Morgan River courses had to complete six program components including: environmetal planning; wilfdlife and habitat management; chemical use reduction and safety;… Continue

Dataw Island from the beginning

Dataw Island gets more beautiful as time goes by. I was one of the lucky Realtors hired by Alcoa, South Carolina in 1985 prior to the island property being offered for sale. Alcoa believed in training their employees extensively. We enjoyed letting the wait and kitchen staff at the club "practice" on us. We would go into the dining room at the clubhouse and the staff would pretend that we were customers giving us the entire dinner experience.

Dataw Island's Member Guest Golf Tournament

The annual member guest golf tournament is being held this weekend. The weather is perfect with the temperature around 85 degrees. Everybody is enjoying having their friends or family here to see how beautiful the island is. The ladies are enjoying the Open House today in which some of our resident's lovely homes are available for viewing. There are 79 teams of 2 playing on the Cotton Dike and Morgan River Golf Courses which offer gorgeous views of Jenkins Creek and the Morgan River on our north… Continue
