If you've ever read a book by Pat Conroy, (Lords of Discipline, The Great Santini, Prince of Tides...) and you think of where he has drawn his inspiration from think of Beaufort, SC. Pat Conroy grew up as a military brat and first lived in Beaufort when he was 15. It was one of the best times of his life. He fell in love with the area and vowed to return. Today was another excellent winters day in the Lowcountry! Although a little colder than normal, (high in the 50's) the sun was out and shining on the water. Historic downtown, (Bay Street) was full of post holiday shoppers and our office saw several property shoppers and "lookers". I actually had 2 showings of my own and 1 contract to work with today.
